Expo Real 2009, International Industrial Exhibition on Commercial Real Estate
Expo Real Forum offered detailed overview of actual tendencies and topics on business of the real estate. Highly skilled experts of the branch were discussing approach of investments and financing along with corporate governance and policy.
From its very foundation 10 years ago EXPO REAL has been one of the most important information forums for the specialist of the branch.
1.856 companies from 45 countries participated in Expo Real 2008 among them 487 exhibitors from foreign countries that makes 26% gross amount of exhibitors. Active participation in the exhibition was taken by numerous representatives of 62 Russian companies.
As against the last year the territory of the exhibition increased 11.000 sq.m., and total area of its seven rooms reached 74.000 sq.m. which makes 17 percentage improvement.
The company CBRE became a party to this exhibition, its stand was presented at Expo Real. The exhibition was attended by the representative of Maris | Part of the CBRE Affiliate Network - Alexey Fedorov – Director of office department.
Comments by Alexey Fedorov: «The scale of ExpoReal (this year the exhibition achieved 74 000 sq.m.) let, within the limits of an event, get general impression of the situation on the world commercial real estate market as well as form contacts with local market players and foreign partners. Succeeded in talking with the representatives of Russian companies and negotiated cooperation on number of projects. Also it was very interesting to listen to the speeches of recognized world experts. Naturally the main subject of discussion was world liquidity crises and its influence on real estate market. Conclusions can be made in this way: for the companies which were building their business by debt financing the situation in the nearest 6-12 months will be unfavorable. But for the players which have their own finances, there opened a new «opportunity window» to purchase quality assets by attractive price.
The same «opportunity window» is opening for us, consultants and brokers. The market, by no means, stopped in tracks, if anything in the nearest year will simmer. Specialists which can use this situation and offer actual and high-quality services will emerge from the crises strong and with good profit».
